How long does rose water last?

If you are buying rose water from the market, it comes with an expiry date. And if you prepare the rose water at home, the shelf life of the rose water depends upon the method used to extract the rose water. The water extracted with the help of steam distillation can last for up to six months in the refrigerator if stored in a sterilized, sealed glass container. The rose water prepared by simmering can last only a month. However, if the scent of rose water changes over time, it is best to discard it.
